Thanks to community member “trashflesh” for the meme theme idea! Back in October of 2020, Twitter (X) user @DannyDutch made this thread looking at funny medieval paintings. See, an artist may have heard of an animal at that time, or have a written description of one, but that doesn’t mean they actually knew what they looked like. This meant that the artists had to work with whatever information they had and try and make what they assumed the animal truly was. This resulted in what we now know as just…wrong. This works out in our favor, however, as iut means entertainment for us!
