The world is full of many different languages with a plethora of words. It’s impossible to learn all of them, even excluding the ancient or extinct languages of ancient Greek or dying languages like the Ainu language. In many places in Europe, being fully bilingual or trilingual is much more common than in America, where the lack of many national neighbors creates less pressure to study more than one language.
