Thanks to community member “(:” for the suggestion! Marketing products to people is an interesting balance of knowing what consumers want while being able to present it in a way that maximizes bucks. Sometimes you have a niche market, and other times you have a broad one! For some reason, though, marketers decide to sell things as if they’re gendered, which just doesn’t make some sense (will clarify). See, when products are needlessly marketed explicitly to women, it’s noted that it has no effect on extra purchasing, and if anything can detriment sales. However, when products are advertised to men, it does effect sales among the target demographic. So why not waste some time and look at some of these products that miraculously sell better despite their weird names or needless gendering?!
