While not everyone on IWSMT plays video games, I know that a solid amount of you do. And with a lot of intersectionality between meme lovers and gaming, there’s lots of funny video game memes out there! Gaming is a massive industry nowadays, globally evaluated as being worth $286 BILLION dollars (USD). For reference, combining music and film industries together, they only come to $137B. That means that gaming, as far as an industry, is worth more than DOUBLE movies and film combined (according to “The Business Research Company”)! While young gamers probably still pretend to be oppressed for their hobby, the reality is that more and more people are turning to games – and that number will keep going up!
