The Cabin at the End of the World is a horror novel by Paul Tremblay. Knock at the Cabin is the upcoming movie adaptation of said novel by horror auteur M. Night Shyamalan. So far, every piece of advertising for the movie seems to leave out that fact. And it’s not like Tremblay is a nobody; he might be the most popular modern horror writer right now (Headful of Ghosts, The Pallbearer’s Club, etc…). So I have to ask – is there a Shyamalan-style twist coming at the end of the advertising campaign? Probably not, but if you haven’t read the novel, give it a try!
